Susan's Family Tree...

Both name plates are finished! And I even took the sacrificial manila folder and put some of the accent stickers on it, cutting it about a 1/4 of an inch around, and distressed it before putting it towards the middle of the page for a little something extra. I made sure to do the more masculine Flur de lis on his side and the butterfly on mine.

I made a layered frame for our baby pictures using the blue script paper (3Hx2 1/2W) and the maroon Family worded on off center on top (2 3/4Hx2 1/2W) sticking two of the frame stickers on the edges. Wasn't I a cute kid? I also added some basic information for siblings. You can see my brother beside my name and my husband is one of 4! Just their full names, birthdays, and where they were born.

I thought this was a great kit. It lets you do something together or just on your own to maybe find out a little more about where you came from. Some family trees can get carried away for centuries, but I found 3 or 4 generations is just enough.

You'll notice that I haven't quite filled everything in, but that's okay! Because this is an on going project for me. However if you know your roots, by all means, but I like to uncover things slowly in my own time and not get overwhelmed with a ton of information all at once. That's the great thing about crafting! You can do anything! And at any pace! I love it!

And this ladies and gentleman, was the Kit of the Month: Family Tree by Paper Studio.
